"La ricerca dei talenti" Project

In order to be ranked among the best technical Universities of Europe, Politecnico di Torino bases its reputation on the quality of the research performed by its own professors and researchers.
The promotion of the independency of young excellent researchers in the definition and the development of highly pioneering research projects lays at the basis of this University policies devoted to promote the growth of the teaching staff in terms of excellent scientific production, international visibility as well as the capability to attract external public and/or private, national and/or international funding.

To this end, in 2014 the "Research Talent" initiative was launched, with the support of Fondazione CRT, as a further tool to support young excellent researchers in the early stage or consolidation stage of their own independent research activity. By means of an institutional ad hoc call for proposals, the main action of this initiative is the granting of research projects conceived by young researchers, selected on the basis of the scientific excellence of the idea and of the curriculum vitae and the scientific results already achieved by the principal investigators.
