Dr. Martí Casadesús Fa holds a Doctorate in Industrial Engineering and he is a Professor at the University of Girona (UdG) in Spain. He is currently the Co-director of the Research Group in Product, Process and Production at UdG devoted to the design of new planning and management of production systems. The research of Dr Casadesús Fa focuses on quality management with publications made in research journals such as TQM, JCO, IJQRM, IJOPM, etc. He has been one of the Spanish experts on the Technical Committee 176 of ISO. He has also been Vice-Rector for Planning and Quality at the UdG. From 2013 to 2021, Dr Casadesús Fa has been the director of AQU Catalunya and Secretariat of the
International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE). The research project to develop during the stage at the Politecnico di Torino will be focused on the new concept of Quality 5.0. This novel paradigm is characterised by going beyond producing goods and services for profit. It places the wellbeing of the worker at the centre of the production process and uses new technologies to provide prosperity beyond jobs and growth while respecting the production limits of the
planet.
